As a kid, I remember the excitement that I would get when my parents would actually let me hold their pocket camera to take a picture of them. There were no other adults around to take it, and I was more than fine with that.
I have always enjoyed capturing a moment and then looking back and feeling that nostalgia later. I have at least 30 photo albums of my own personal adventures throughout life. My Route 66 trip from Chicago to Santa Monica, Europe, Mexico, friends, family. I enjoy helping others capture those important and memorable times in their lives.
I also take pictures, thankfully, to my uncle Javier Legazpi, who passed away in 2004. He was a photographer and saw that I was interested in the art as a kid. It made him very happy that I wanted to follow in his footsteps. I will always remember his words, with a big cigar in his mouth, “Bonnie Lee, you have a good eye. You should do this.”
So I’m doing it!
I am based in Los Angeles, California. I speak Spanish and my Portuguese is coming along. I have a wonderful husband. We share the home with our cat, Bella. Or rather, she shares it with us.
